NEW MODULAR!
So we started a new mod this week. I am not exactly happy studying the subjects we have to cover this month. We are studying medical law, ethics and phsycology as well as the history of computers and technology and how it has effected medicine. A little update on my heart condition... I am officially in hypotension. My blood pressure as of today was 84/44 which for those of you don't know is VERY bad. My proffessor told me that i needed to have my BP checked every 15 minutes and closely monitor my vital signs. if my systolic (the first number in a bp reading) and my diastolic (the bottom number in a bp reading) got any closer together i would be sent to the hospital. On break i walked a few laps around the college and pounded alot of water, which seemed to help me alot. I have been referred to a cardiologist and will be looking forward to a slue of tests to officially diagnose my hypotensive state. I have worked very hard the last few days to get ahead on my studies for this mod so i can focus on relaxing and getting back to a healthier place. Tyler, Laylee and I are all going up into the mountains this weekend for a memorial wknd camping trip with grandpa olsen. Hopefully it will help us all relax and get some fresh air. If any of you have heard about the tragedy that happened in fountain last monday.. then this school update will be interesting. A man, shot and killed his two year old son and shot his wife 5 times and put her in critical condition. He then proceeded to baracade himself in their home and shot himself. The college had been awaiting an opportunity to make a feild trip to the el paso county morgue, and this last week.. we were finally granted that opportunity. When the class got to the morgue, we were informed that the man we were watching the otopsy on was the same man from the murder suicide that had occured that last monday evening. we were all very lucky to be able to witness an otopsy, but it was a little difficult for some of us. I don't think we anticipated it being that intense. And for those of you who are interested.. my total grade for last month was 94.4%! straight A student since the day i started college! that's all the news i have for now...

This week in MOD F
this week has been very intense for us here in the ten to two class. in lab this week, we have covered and signed off certifications for administering pediatric vitals, injections and child restraint as well as assisting in a gynecological office visit. in our lecture class we have had massive amounts of homework this week. normally in a MOD, we only have a chapter due a week. But because there is so much to be covered before this moth is over, we have four chapters due this week alone.. and they are all massive. so i have really buckled down and busted ass on my homework to get it done early. we are going to start doing blood draws and injections again at the beginning of next week. I will keep as many updates as i possibly can posted here.
